Sabia is a Chartered Accountant, a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and a member of R3 but he originally qualified as a professional production engineer and worked in Germany for IBM as well as in the UK for BOC before changing career.

He completed his training and qualification as a Chartered Accountant with a mid-tier City firm before joining BBK when he was immediately seconded to the insolvency department for two weeks. 15 years later, Sabia now heads that department. His extensive experience in insolvency and recovery together with his previous experience as an engineer and an accountant give him the ability to quickly grasp the underlying difficulties facing clients and their businesses, whatever the peculiarities of the business or the situation.
